Science:
We have started our first science rotation this week. Our class goes to Mrs. Sytsma’s room for “The Earth and Me.”

Multiplication:
At this point, your child should know their 0, 1, 5, 10, & 9 Multiplication facts. By the end of the year, a 50 problem, 3 minute timed test must be passed with an 80% or higher!

Our class will DIBELS test January 17th-20th. Please make sure your child is at school with plenty of rest. Remember, our goal is 86 words per minute or above. By the end of the year 100 wpm is expected. As this weekend’s enrichment activity, I have provided a sample of a DIBELS one minute read. Try it! Ask your child to read the story to you (out loud) while timing them for one minute. After a minute, count up how many words they read correctly. This will give you an indication of their reading fluency level.
