We have started multiplication this week. Please consider purchasing a pack of flashcards. Facts 1-10 MUST me memorized by May. Daily practice at school and at home will help your child reach this goal.
Story:
We will not have a story this week. Instead, we will study various Christmas Classics and practice writing and using winter words.
Social Studies:
Our social studies test is will be on Tuesday, December 13th. A study guide went home yesterday. If the study guide is signed by a parent and returned on the day of the test extra credit will be awarded.
Winter is Here!:
Please make sure your child is dressed properly for outdoor recess. Winter coats, hats, and gloves are a must on these cold winter days.
Candy Bars:
Please don’t forget to send your wrapped candy bar to school for the candy bar gift exchange. It is very important that we have enough candy bars for everyone to participate.
Christmas Party:
Our class Christmas Party will be held on Thursday, December 15th from 8:15-9:15a.m. We have a “Candlelight” breakfast provided by our parent Christmas Party Committee. Later in the day our students will have a candy bar gift exchange. Please send a wrapped, regular sized candy bar to school by December 13th. I will store them here until the exchange. PLEASE, no king size candy bars—or names on the wrapped candy—it’s not fair for all.
