I am now sending home “Oops Notes” for any children that come to school with missing homework. Students will miss recess until the note comes back with the missing HW.
Christmas Party:
Our class Christmas Party will be held on Thursday, December 15th from 8:15-9:15a.m. We will have a “Candlelight” breakfast provided by our parent Christmas Party Committee. Later in the day our students will have a candy bar gift exchange. Please send a wrapped, regular sized candy bar to school by December 13th. I will store them here until the exchange. PLEASE, no king size candy bars—or names on the wrapped candy—it’s not fair for all.
Can Food Drive:
Cardinal Elementary is partnering with St. Thomas Food Pantry to provide as much food as possible to families in need during these tough economic times. Each classroom’s donations will be collected and tallied daily. The class from each grade level that collects the most items from November 14th to December 9th will receive a pizza party from Mrs. Snow! Please clean out your pantry and start a collection of food items to help families in our district! My class won last year...can we do it this year? So far, we have 184 canned food items to donate! We are the top class in the whole school! The students in our class set a goal of collecting 400 items. If each student brought in 17-18 items we would reach our goal. Thank you to the families that have donated. Your generosity will be spread to needy families in our community/district. If our class reaches their 400 class goal, whether they win the pizza party or not, I promised them a movie day!
