Our Halloween Party is scheduled for October 31st from 1:00-2:00pm. The Parent Halloween Party Committee is planning a fun-filled experience for our class. Students will play games, eat treats, and enjoy friendships. We have plenty of volunteers to help with the party. If you are interested in helping plan for the Christmas or Valentine’s Day party, please contact me. If you insist on helping, we are welcoming candy donations for student treat bags. :-)
Please send your child’s costume to school in a bag. They will change right before the party.
No weapons or fake blood.
Costumes must be school and age appropriate.

WEEK 6
MEAP, MEAP!
3rd grade will be testing again on Tuesday, October 18th.
Don’t forget, I have Tools for Schools cards. If you shop at Plumb’s please pick up a card from me! Just send a quick note on a piece of paper and I’ll send a card home! THANKS!

So far, we have had 100% attendance during MEAP days. Please be sure your child is to school, on time, Tuesday, October 18th for Math MEAP! THANKS!
What you can do at home:
Impress the importance of the MEAP
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep
Make sure your child gets breakfast
Make sure your child is not rushed or stressed in the morning
Weekend Reading:
This week’s weekend reading looks a little different because we did not have a story this week. Please read the Halloween story titled, “Halloween at Home” and answer the comprehension questions on the back in complete sentences. Due Tuesday

The following dates are extremely important as they are test dates for the MEAP:
Tuesday, October 11
Wednesday, October 12
Tuesday, October 18
Please make every effort to have your child to school on time during these dates!
What you can do at home:

Webb Bucks!
As an incentive and reward for working hard and earning 100% on spelling tests, math quizzes, social studies/science tests, and reading tests students can earn WEBB BUCKS! For each 100% grade on tests, your child will earn a WEBB BUCK. WEBB BUCKS will be saved in a wallet. When your child has earned $10 in WEBB BUCKS then they may trade them in for a trip to the treasure chest.
